Stop Normalizing “Intended Worship” as a Covert Sweetener for Worldly Obsession

Allah Drug has opened the door to worship as widely as possible, both through pure worship (mahdhah) and daily activities (Mahdha’s spirit) is meant correctly. Rasulullah ﷺ said in a basic hadith,

Actions are based on intentions, and each person will receive only what he intended.

“Actions only depend on their intentions. And each person will only be rewarded based on their intentions.” [1]

Regarding the discussion of intentions above, there is a phenomenon that we need to think about together. This phenomenon often arises from the statements of several experts, politicians, academics, professionals and intellectuals when speaking in public spaces. In fact, without realizing it, he often creeps into our small talk as ordinary people, in hangout rooms or on the sidelines of small conversations with friends and family.

Portrait of the religious advice of a public figure

Let’s examine it honestly. In our conversations with other people, we sometimes get moments to motivate other people, either in the form of positive worldly encouragement or advice about religion and morals. When we get the opportunity to motivate world affairs, sometimes we are so eager to burn their souls to achieve our ambitions. “Let’s work hard, work smart! We have to be adaptive and provide solutions! The world is constantly changing, it won’t wait for us. We have to adapt or we will be left behind,” and other motivations. This sentence is not wrong. However, let’s see what happens next.

The problem arises when the same person gets the opportunity to give a few words of religious advice, let’s see what is said, “Our worldly activities can also become worship in the sight of Allah if we intend it.” Sometimes this sentence only appears a few minutes into a very long speech. After that, the discussion continued, the majority of the content of which was about the worldly world. In fact, this sentence is often connected with encouragement such as, “Don’t be a ritualist! Religion shouldn’t just be a ritual. Isn’t it true that besides having hablumminallah, there is also hablumminannas?” Although we could ask back, “Isn’t it true that besides there being hablumminannas, there is also hablumminallah?”

Again, the above advice is textually correct. However, it’s all just worrying The author says Biha al-Bathil (the words are true, but the subtle meaning behind them is a mistake). To be honest, let’s look at the priority scale. When we talk about the world, we encourage other people’s enthusiasm to pursue it, whereas when we convey religious advice, we are again covertly encouraging people to focus on the world! As a result, everything that comes out of our mouths is the world. It’s rare to find pure advice that is free from worldly concerns!

Maybe we argue, “I am not an ustaz or kiai, I am not an expert in conveying religious teachings. Let me be an expert.” The question is, isn’t it conveying teachings about maintaining intentions in worldly activities, as well as concepts hablumminallah And hablumminannasis it also part of religious teachings? Why are we selective? Moreover, perhaps this person feels that he is not an expert, so why is he willing to climb up to the pulpit in front of the congregation during moments of worship? In fact, many religious teachings are very simple to convey without having to wait to become an ustaz first.

Conveying religious advice is not only the duty of ustaz and kyai, but also the moral responsibility of every person who has faith. He is proof of the difference between lucky servants and those who are bankrupt. Allah Drug said,

And the times (1) Indeed, humanity is in loss (2) Except for those who believe and do good deeds and invite each other to the truth and invite each other to be patient.

“For the sake of time. Indeed, humanity is in loss, except for those who believe and do good deeds and advise each other to the truth and advise each other to be patient.” (QS. Al-Ashr: 1-3)

So, once again, be honest with yourself. And most importantly, be honest with God! Is it true that our worldly activities are intended as a form of devotion to Him, or are they just an excuse so that we can continue to be obsessed with the world without feeling guilty?

Is this world so perfect in our eyes?

After all, why are we so infatuated with the world as if it were so perfect? Isn’t the world tired a lot? The older you get, the more demands you have, the more bitter decisions you have to make. Living in this world really drains energy. So, aren’t we a people who believe that prayer is a place of rest from all difficulties and fatigue? Rasulullah said Bilal bin Rabah May Allah bless him and grant him peace,

O Bilal, comfort us with prayer

“O Bilal, rest us with prayer.” [2]

So, where is our invitation to others to perform prayers? Why is it only world success strategies that we continue to echo?

Isn’t life full of headaches? Meanwhile, there is not a single book that can provide a complete solution other than the Koran? So, where is our invitation to read and reflect on its meaning?

Isn’t this world too much heartache? Injustice is everywhere, injustice comes from all directions. Anxiety that often haunts, regrets about the past and anxiety about the future. In fact, nothing can calm the heart except dhikr to Allah.

Indeed, by remembering Allah, the heart becomes peaceful

“Know, only by remembering Allah, the heart becomes peaceful.” (QS Ar-Ra’d: 28)

Always the world’s motivation is conveyed, no matter where the invitation to remembrance is hidden. Isn’t God’s word true?

And who is more honest in his words than Allah?

“And who is more righteous than Allah?” (QS An-Nisa: 122)

Dear readers, in a world full of things beyond our control, isn’t one of the main goals of us working hard with the world to seek sustenance? And isn’t it true that no one can help us and give us sustenance except Allah? Drug? So, where is our invitation to? provision, to ask Him for help? Where is the invitation to knock on the door Ar-Razzaq through prayer? Remember! Ad-du’a Salahul Mukmin, Prayer is the weapon of a person who has faith.

Therefore, the correct principle is as God’s word says Subhanahu Ta’ala,

And seek through what Allah has given you, the home of the afterlife, and do not forget your share in this world.

“And seek what Allah has given you (happiness) in the afterlife, and do not forget the part (pleasures) of this world.” (QS Al-Qasas: 77)

Pay attention, pursue the afterlife, and don’t forget the world. Don’t reverse it! As a result, When we get the opportunity to convey religious advice, invite people to get to know Allah first. Invite them to pray, invite them to do dhikr first. Only after that, with the right level, can we encourage them to actively reach out to the world while maintaining their intentions. Everyone has their own portion. As a result, both our deeds in the afterlife and our worldly activities, 24 hours a day are all worth worship.

It should be understood that this article is a form of social criticism and sincere advice to achieve mutual improvement. May Allah give us taufik so we can be honest with Allah Exalted, also to ourselves. Allahu waliyyut taufiq.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
