Unconditional Compliance with Sharia

In the life journey of a believer, there is no principle that is greater, more soothing, and more saving than the attitude of complete surrender to God. Story and His Messenger. It is not just a religious rule, but the foundation of faith that the heart recognizes Allah as the only god, and the body proves it with obedience.

Allah Story said,

And whatever the Messenger gives you, take it, and whatever he forbids you, keep away.

“What the Messenger gives you, accept it. And what he forbids you, leave it.” (QS. Al Hasyir: 7)

This verse is an important rule that helps a believer to submit his heart to Allah, the owner of the universe and educate his practice so that it conforms to the example of the Prophet. sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. Who obeys the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, means he has obeyed Allah Knocking, as He says,

Whoever obeys the Messenger obeys God

“Whoever obeys the Messenger, then he has truly obeyed Allah.” (QS. An-Nisa: 80)

The verse above also illustrates that a servant’s obedience to his Lord is different from his obedience to humans. Because a person’s obedience to Allah is absolute (unconditional), while a person’s obedience to humans is relative. If humans command goodness, then we obey; but if it’s bad, we leave it.

Rasulullah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said,

There is not obedience to disobedience, there is obedience to what is right

“There is no obedience to evil, obedience is only to things that are ma’ruf.” (HR. Bukhari and Muslim)

Reasons for unconditional obedience

First, God’s goodness and mercy are “unlimited”

How can we not submit to God? Knocking, while every second of our life is proof of His love?

Starting from the world’s blessings that we feel without asking, like air that fills our lungs, a heart that beats without our command, fortune that comes from an unexpected direction, salvation that God gives. Story guard against invisible dangers, to the blessings of worship that raise our status with Him.

How great is God’s gift Story who gives us Islamic guidance, the ability to stand in prayer, the strength to fast, gentleness in giving alms, and the calm that descends when we remember Him. Every blessing is a mercy and gift from Allah Story so that we submit unconditionally, because everything we have is a gift from Him, and all goodness comes from His hand.

Allah Story said,

Whatever blessings you get, come from God

“Whatever favors you have, they are from Allah.” (QS. An-Nahl: 53)

If all blessings come from Him, then it is fitting that our obedience be given completely to Him.

Second, God’s rules “must be right”

Allah Story is the All-Knowing, All-Wise, never wrong and impossible mistaken. While human rules can be right, they can be wrong. Laws have been revised, regulations changed, policies changed. What is considered right today, tomorrow may be considered wrong. Such are human limitations.

However, Allah rules Story never changes and does not require repair. It comes down from the Most True and Most Wise, who knows the past, present and future perfectly. Allah knows what benefits His servants and what destroys them.

Allah Story said,

Does He not know who He created even though He is All-Gentle, All-Knowing?

“Doesn’t God who created (humans) know better?” (QS. Al-Mulk: 14)

Third, God’s rules “must be good”

Allah Story never makes rules to make things difficult for His servants, as He says,

Allah desires ease for you and does not desire hardship for you.

“Allah desires ease for you and does not desire hardship.” (QS. Al-Baqarah: 185)

If there is a rule that is considered difficult by some people, then this difficulty will definitely produce good results (there is great wisdom behind it). For example, a baby learning to walk. He fell many times, cried, got up again, and fell again. The process was hard, but it was the only way it could work perfectly.

Likewise sharia; Fasting feels hard, but it nourishes the body and cleanses the soul. Prayer takes time, but it calms the heart and prevents evil. Refraining from immorality is indeed difficult, but it is what maintains the honor and blessings of life.

God’s rules are measurable and full of benefits

Notice how God is Story organize our lives by seeing that there are a lot of things that are permitted and things that are forbidden are relatively few. We can eat thousands of types of food, while only a few are forbidden. In fact, human food is much more diverse than animal food: from fruit, vegetables, meat, milk, grains, fish, and many others.

God’s Sin Story Haram things such as adultery, usury, alcohol will definitely bring physical, moral and social harm. Until he loses; not only in this world, but also in the afterlife. Allah Story does not forbid people from something except because it is a great disadvantage.

Islam is complete surrender

The meaning of Islam itself comes from the words:

Islam is submission to God

“Islam is submission, submission and complete submission to God.” (See Ta’tigh Shilan At-Malu, matter. 16-18)

A Muslim is one who subdues his ego when revelation speaks, defeats his desires in order to gain His approval, and accepts all of the Shari’a with full submission even though he does not yet know all of His wisdom.

When the heart is submissive, the mind is humbled, and the body obediently follows God’s commands Knocking, therein lies the essence of Islam. This is a form of unconditional obedience, namely obedience that is born from the belief that Allah never makes mistakes, never wrongs His servants, and never gives rules except to elevate their status.

Obedience is not a burden, but a glory

Obedience to God Story is not a burden, but a glory. This is not a compulsion, this is the path to happiness. Whoever surrenders himself to God Knocking, he has chosen the safest place in this world and the hereafter.

May Allah soften our hearts to accept His commands lightly, practice them sincerely, and avoid His prohibitions with full awareness.
