The first ten days of Zulhijah: the best day this year

God created time, and God is wise in binding it. Among God’s grace to His servants is to give a season of goodness, so that anyone who wants to approach can go faster. Between that time, some are duplicated in their blessings, expanding their grace, and glorified in it. Because Ramadan is the culmination of the annual worship of worship, the first ten days of Zulhijah are the best days in a year, as emphasized by the Qur’an and Sunnah.

Allah swores in the Qur’an,

And dawn. And ten nights

“For the sake of dawn, and for ten nights.” [1]

Majority mufassir (Member of Interpretation), Including Ibn ‘Abbas Radhiyallahu ‘anhuma, states that “ten nights” refer to the first ten days of Zulhijah. Sheikh as-sa’di in the book of his interpretation mentions,

And that was the right night of ten Ramadan or ten days of Dhu Al -Hijah

“And in the strongest opinion, it was the last ten nights of Ramadan or ten (early) from Zulhijah.” [2]

And when God swores on one thing, it is a sign of his greatness and position by his side.

Rasulullah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam say,

There is no good working day where God is more expensive to God than the ten days

“There are no days when the body of charity is more loved by God than ten days (Zulhijah).” [3]

Even the most honorable jihad cannot match the priority of deeds in it, except for jihad that sacrifices all wealth and soul without residual.

What made these days so noble?

The scholars mentioned several reasons for the glory of these days:

First: The gathering of the main charity: prayer, fasting, alms, dhikr, and pilgrimage; Everything can be done in one time span. There is no other month in a year that has a combination of pious charity as found in the month of Zulhijah. Allah said,

Hajj is the most famous

“Pilgrimage (done) in known months.” [4]

Al-Hafizh Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali Rahimahullah said,

And he gathered on the day of knowledge about servant worship that was not rounded on the contrary

“On Arafat Day, various types of worship were collected that were not collected on other days.” [5]

Second: This day contains Arafat Day (9 Zulhijah) full of forgiveness and liberation from hell.

Arafat day will redeem the year and the rest.

“Fasting Arafat can erase sin one year ago and one year to come.” [6]

Third: The 10th day is Iduladha, Islamic holidays and sacrificial slaughter days.

Wake up to your Lord and sacrifice

“Then adjust the prayer for your Lord, and be human.” [7]

Practice arranged in ten days

First: Increasing Saleh Amal in general

All forms of worship are of large value in these days: reading the Qur’an, helping others, improving themselves, increasing prayer, and self-introspection. Allah ‘Azza from Jalla said,

And what you offer to yourself is the best you find in God, it’s better and the most appreciated

“What are the goodness that you do for yourself, surely you will get it in the sight of Allah in return for better and greater reward.” [8]

Then, God also ordered us to live in goodness. God said,

Fear well

“Then compete in goodness.” [9]

Second: multiply dhikr

From Ibn ‘Umar Radhiyallahu ‘anhuma, Prophet Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam say,

So, more than them than etc.

“Then multiply on those days (10 days of Zulhijah) Tahlil reading (لَا إ tend to keep keep إ tend اللَا الللَْ ugh), takbir (اللَك hadhujayree hapeked), and tahmid (الل Hadree مْ Salments) [10]

Mentioned in the history of Bukhari,

Ibn Omar and Abu Hurairah came to the market on those days

“Ibn Umar and Abu Hurairah went to the market for 10 days Zulhijah and told Takbir, so those who followed them with them.” [11]

Third: Fasting, especially on Arafat Day (9 Zulhijah)

Prophet Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam say,

Fasting on Arafa Day, I rely on God not to believe the sunnah before him and after him

“Fasting of Arafat Day, I hope to God to erase sin a year before and afterwards.” [12]

Fourth: slaughtering sacrificial animals

The worship of sacrifice is sincerity and compliance. God said,

God will not get his worries, or blood, but will be strengthened from you

“The flesh and blood of the sacrificial animals do not reach God, but what reaches Him is your piety.” [13]

Don’t be shy if our charity is small

God does not ask for perfection. He only asked for sincerity and sincerity.

Your Lord is the widest forgiveness

“Spring is God Mahaluas for forgiveness.” [14]

Those who believe and do the right deeds, but we do not waste gifts from those who are good.

“Indeed, those who believe and practice well, we don’t let go of gifts from those who do good.” [15]

Rasulullah Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam say,

I like work for God.

“The most loved charity by God is the most continuous even a little.” [16]

Maybe we can’t be as good as others, but if God sees us want to return, it’s enough to open His doors.

Don’t miss the ten days

If Ramadan is an annual large madrasa, then the first ten days of Zulhijah is a short but deep golden time. Don’t let it pass without meaning. We do not know, maybe one prayer that is solemn, a small alms that are sincere, or a cry of honest repentance in these days becomes the reason God raises our degree, forgive us, and bring us together later with His heaven.

And God loves the good

“And God loves those who do good.” [17]
