Heart Medicine When Criticized

Being criticized is a painful thing, especially if we are criticized not because of our badness, nor because we made a mistake. Sometimes we are criticized simply because of other people’s hatred, accused of doing things we didn’t do, sometimes we are even criticized when we are trying to do good. This really hurts our hearts. Then, is there any medicine for the heart when it is criticized?

When our hearts feel pain when we are criticized, it turns out that there are people who experience extraordinary criticism from their haters. Who is he? He is the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. When he preached Islam in Mecca, many Quraysh people opposed and did evil to the Prophet. Among them were constantly hurting the Prophet by criticizing him sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam.

The reproach from the Quraysh certainly hurt the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. What’s more, what he hopes for in preaching is of course goodness for those he preaches. When the insults from the Quraysh really hurt the Messenger of Allah, it turned out that Allah sent down verses that comforted the Messenger of Allah which became medicine for the heart when he was criticized.

Allah says in Surah Al-Hijr verse 97,

And we know that you are distressed by what they say to you, so praise your Lord and be among those who bow down and worship your Lord until He comes to you. Certainty

“We really know that your chest feels tight because of what they said. So, glorify yourself while praising your Lord and be part of those who bow down. And worship your Lord until certainty (of death) comes to you.” (QS. Al-Hijr: 97-99)

When the Messenger of Allah’s heart was hurt due to the insults of the Quraysh, Allah revealed this verse as a comfort and provided a solution for the feeling of tightness in the Prophet’s chest. What’s that? Not replying to insults, not even running away from the test, but… praise praise God and prostration (praying). These two things are the medicine for the heart when being criticized that Allah prescribed to the Prophet.

Blaming the Prophet

It is part of Allah’s decree that the Prophets and pious people are the ones who are most severely tested. Therefore, Rasulullah experienced many tests, including the criticisms leveled by the Quraysh against Rasulullah.

Among the criticism of the Quraysh against the Prophet were:

Dubbed muzammam (the despicable one)

Among the insults of the Quraysh was calling the Messenger of Allah Muzammam, which means a despicable person. This is as in a hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah May god bless you, Rasulullah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said,

Don’t you wonder how Allah kept me away from the insults and insults of the Quraysh? They insult the despicable and curse the despicable, and I am Muhammad.

“Do you not wonder how Allah turned away from me the curse and curse of the Quraysh? ‘in dhammam’ (despicable person) and cursed ‘in dhammam’, even though I am Mohammed (a commendable person).” (HR. Bukhari)

Accused of being a poet, a witch, and a madman

Among the insults of the Quraysh were accusing the Prophet of being a poet, a magician and a madman. This is the same as the previous accusations of the Apostle’s opponents; they also called the previous Apostles and Prophets with this nickname to demean and reject the preaching of Islam. Allah Drug said,

So no apostle came to those before them unless they said: A sorcerer or a madman.

“So whenever a Messenger came to people before them, they would have said, “He is a sorcerer or a madman.” (QS. Adz-Dzariyat: 52)

Two medicines for the heart when criticized

Among the ways to heal our hurt hearts when we are criticized are as mentioned in Surah Al-Hijr verses 97-99, namely making tasbih (dhikr) and prostrating (salat). Then, why can these two things heal a sick heart when criticized?

Glorified and bertahmid (reading)

The first medicine for the heart when it is criticized is tasbih and tahmid. In Al-Baghawi’s interpretation, it is stated that Adh-Dhahak states that the meaning of the word of Allah, They said, “Glory be the praise of your Lord” is saying, Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him (‘SUBHANALLAHU WABIHAMDIH’).

Why can dhikr heal the heart when it is criticized? In interpreting the 98th verse of Surah Al-Hijr, At-Thabari said that this is because when we face things that we hate from people who criticize us, immediately complain to Allah by praising Him and offering prayers; Allah will surely suffice for you whatever troubles you from this.

Remember, dhikr is also one of the keys to a peaceful heart according to the word of Allah Exalted,

Those who believe and their hearts are at peace by remembering Allah. Indeed, by remembering Allah the heart becomes peaceful

“(Namely) those who believe and their hearts become peaceful by remembering Allah. Remember, only by remembering Allah can the heart become peaceful.” (QS. Ar-Ra’d: 28)

Zikr is also a practice taught by Allah and His Messenger when difficulties and disasters strike. Therefore, one way to heal the heart when it is criticized is to do dhikr by sanctifying God’s name and praising Him. When we know His greatness and power, our problems will undoubtedly become smaller.

Prayer

The next medicine for the heart when it is criticized is prayer. When discussing the word of God Exalted, So give praise to your Lord and be among those who prostrate. Tafsir scholars state that what is meant by this verse is establishing prayers. As for glorifying and praising Allah, this is the beginning of performing prayer and prayer is the culmination of our deeds to purify and praise Allah.

Prayer is a form of worship in which a servant is closest to Allah Drug. Prayer is the most important condition for us to complain to Allah Drug. By praying too, Allah will fulfill our affairs on that day, Allah Drug it is said in a hadith qudsi,

Allah SWT says: O son of Adam, do not neglect me to do four rak’ahs at the beginning of your day, and I will be sufficient for you at the end of the day.

“Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla said, ‘O son of Adam, do not feel weak (reluctant) to worship Me with four rak’ahs at the beginning of your day, I will surely be sufficient for you at the end of your day.'” (HR. Abu Dawud)

Prayer was also a habit of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam when he experiences something sad. From Hudzaifah bin Al-Yemen he said,

Whenever the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, was led by a command, he would pray

“In the past, when the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam something sad (severe) happened to him, he immediately started praying.” (HR. Abu Dawud)

Cover

Those are two medicines for the heart when being criticized that we can practice that Allah taught the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam in Surah Al-Hijr verses 97-99; that is, glorify and glorify, then pray.

Let’s take an example of what the Prophet did, so that our hearts can be more open when criticized, and it can also be an opportunity for introspection and self-improvement. Because we are not apostles who, when we make a mistake, Allah immediately reminds us. It could be that the reason we are criticized is our personal ugliness, but we never realize it

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
