Give up the debt, do you have to tell the borrower?

QUESTION:

Assalamu’alaykum Warohmatullahi Wabarokatuh Ustadz, permission to ask,

If I give a loan to someone,
Then we want to let go or give up the debt because the conditions have been too long,

Is it enough intention or need to be conveyed to the person concerned?

Wa’alaikumussalam wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh

It is better to be told, so that he did not expect the debt to still be there. Hopefully it can be happy and relieve him.

For the owner of the receivables, you get a very large return.

As hadith:

For the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said, the messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be on it, said: resurrection and anyone who is happy with difficulties, may God be happy with Him in this world and the hereafter at the end
