The connection between Tamim ad-Dariy’s hadith about the Dajjal and Ibn Shayyad

The matter regarding Ibn Shayyad among the ulama is a discussion that is quite vague and full of mystery. In the previous discussion, several arguments have been presented which indicate the possibility that Ibn Shayyad is the Dajjal himself.

However, on the other hand, there are scholars who argue that Ibn Shayyad is not the Dajjal, arguing based on the hadith Tamim ad-Dariy which explains about Al-Jassasah the famous one.

Tamim bin Aus Ad-Dariy was a noble companion of the Prophet, well known among his companions. Initially he was a Christian, then came to Medina and converted to Islam. He told the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam about the story al-Jassasah and the Dajjal, then the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam conveyed it to the people on the platform, and this was considered one of his priorities. [1]

Al-Imam Muslim God bless narrated with his sanad to Amir bin Syarahil ash-Sya’bi -hamdan tribe- that he asked Fatimah bint Qais, the sister of adh-Dhahhak bin Qais (she was one of the women who participated in the first hijrah), he said, “Tell me a hadith that you heard from the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam for which you depend on no one but him!” “If you want, then I will,” he answered. He said, “Sure, let me know.”

Finally, she tells how she became the widow of her husband, and how it happened ‘iddah at Ibn Ummi Maktum’s house, then he said, “Soon ‘iddah-When I finished, I heard the call of the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, ‘Pray in congregation’, then I went to the mosque and prayed with Rasulullah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. At that time, I was in damn woman close to him damn man. After the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam finished his prayer, he sat on the pulpit smiling, then said,

Let each person commit to his prayer

“Let everyone remain in his place of prayer!”

Furthermore, he said,

Do you know why I brought you together?

“Do you know why I gathered you?” They answered, “Allah and His Messenger know better.”

He says,

By God, I did not gather you because of desire or fear, but I gathered you because Tamim al-Dari was a Christian, so he came, pledged allegiance, and converted to Islam, and told me a story that corresponded to what I told you about the Dajjal.

“By Allah, indeed I did not gather you to convey good news or bad news, but I gathered you because Tamim ad-Dari was previously a Christian, then he came, did allegiance and converted to Islam. He told me a story that matched what I told you about Al-Still Ad-Dajjal.”

“He told me that he once boarded a ship with 30 people who had skin disease and leprosy. They were tossed about by the waves for a month in the middle of the ocean until they were finally stranded on an island in the direction of the setting sun. They boarded a small ship (sampan), then they entered the island. Then animals with thick fur met them, they didn’t know which was the front or the back because their fur was thick, they said,

Woe to you, what are you?

‘Grief! Who are you?’

He answered,

I’m Jessessa

‘I am al-Jassasah.’ They asked, ‘Is… al-Jassasah That?’ He said (without answering), ‘O people! Go to the person who is in this temple, because he really longs for news from you.’

Tamim ad-Dari said, ‘When the beast mentioned someone to us, we left him because we were afraid that he was a devil.’ He said, ‘Finally we went quickly until we entered the temple, and it turned out that inside there was a very large and very tightly tied person who we had seen for the first time. His hands were shackled up to his neck, between his knees and his ankles were chained with iron.’

We said, ‘Wretched, who are you?’

He said, ‘You are destined to bring me news, tell me who you are?’

They answered, ‘We are people from the Arab nation, we boarded a ship, then we found the sea with raging waves, we were tossed about by the waves for a month in the middle of the ocean until we were stranded on this island, then we boarded a canoe, then we entered this island, then an animal with thick fur met us, we didn’t know which was the front or the back because its fur was very thick.

We said, ‘Woe! Who are you?’ He answered, ‘I am al-Jassasah.’ We asked, ‘Is al-Jassasah That?’

He said (without answering), ‘Go to the person who is in this temple because he really longs for news from you,’ finally we immediately came to you. We were shocked and afraid of him, and thought he was a devil.’

He said, ‘Tell me about the date palm tree in Baisan?’

We said, ‘What are you asking about that?’

He answered, ‘I asked you about its fruit, does it still bear fruit?’

We answered, ‘Yes (still bearing fruit).’

‘It doesn’t look like it’s bearing any more fruit,’ he said.

He said, ‘Tell me about Lake Thabariyah?’

We said, ‘What are you asking about that?’

He answered, ‘Is there still water?’

They answered, ‘The lake still has a lot of water.’

“’The water is almost dry,’ he said.

He said, ‘Tell me about the spring of Zughar?’

They said, ‘What are you asking about that?’

He answered, ‘Is the spring still flowing?

And do the people still grow crops with its water?’

We answered, ‘That’s right, there is still plenty of water and the people still grow crops using the water.’

He asked, ‘Tell me about the Prophets of those who um, What is he doing?’

They answered, ‘He has emigrated from the city of Mecca and stopped in Yathrib (Medina).’

‘Are people fighting it?’, he asked.

‘That’s right,’ we answered.

He asked, ‘What did he do to them?’

Then we told him that he had helped those who followed him and they obeyed him.’

He said to them, ‘Is that true?’

We said, ‘That’s right.’

He said, ‘Indeed it is better for them to obey, and I tell you that I am al-Masih (Dajjal), and almost I was allowed to go out until I could get out, then I would wander on the face of the earth. I will never leave a single village unless I stop there for forty nights, apart from Mecca and Thaibah (Medina), both of which are forbidden to me. Whenever I wanted to enter one of them, the angels would block me with drawn swords blocking me with them; and in every passageway of the two cities, there is an angel guarding them.’”

Fatima said, “O Messenger of Allah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said while poking his little stick on the stand,

This is good, this is good, this is good – meaning: city -. Didn’t I tell you that?

‘This is Thaibah, this is Thaibah, this is Thaibah -namely Medina-. Remember, didn’t I tell you that?”

Then people said, “That’s right.”

I like the hadith of Tamim which says, “I was telling you about him, and about Medina and Mecca, only he is in the Syrian Sea, or Yemeni Sea, no, but from the East, what is that, from the East, what is that, from the East, what is that” (and he pointed with his hand to the East)

“Really the story that Tamim told amazed me because it matched what I had told him, about Medina and Mecca. Know that he (Dajjal) is in the Sham Sea, or the Yemeni sea. Oh no, but he is from the east, from the east, from the east,” (and he gestured with his hand towards the east).

Fatima said,

So I memorized this from the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and give him peace

“So I memorized this from the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam.” (HR. Muslim)

Ibn Hajar God bless said, “Some scholars think that this Hadith of Fatima Evening which is only narrated by individuals. Although this is not the case. Because apart from Fatimah, it was also narrated from Abu Hurairah, ‘Aishah, and Jabir. May Allah bless him and grant him peace.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
