QUESTION:
Ustadz, permission to ask. I have read the writing about the prohibition of often joining the ta’lim for reasons whether worried about killing my heart or not much knowledge is absorbed. Ta’lim once a week is enough. And if I’m not mistaken there is included in the argument. Ask Ustadz’s opinion for this. And if it’s true there is an argument, what kind of sounds. Thank You
ANSWER
Bismillahirrahmanirrahim ..
There is no prohibition on frequent ta’lim, forbidding of course it needs argument, not as long as it forbids without reason.
What is the Prophet Sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam if he fills the ta’lim for his friend not too often, so as not to get bored. Bored is not a prohibition, nor is it absolute, he is relative. Prophet ﷺ want his people to be happy with knowledge.
For the authority of Ibn Masoud, he said
Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be on it, permitted by the sermon on days.
From Ibn Mas’ud said, that the Prophet ﷺ always sorted out the right day for us to give advice, for fear of boredom of being bored.
