Prophet’s guidance in catching sinners (bags. 4)

Previously mentioned the story of Maiz Radhiyallahu ‘anhu In the first part of this series. However, there are still many Faidahs that can be found from the story of Maiz Radhiyallahu ‘anhu, especially in addressing the sin of a servant. Some of these Faidahs include:

First: Do not extract the sinner’s disgrace

When getting the recognition of Maiz, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not directly punish, even though the Apostle had a strong suspicion that Maiz had committed a very large sin. This can be seen from several indications:

1) Maiz repeatedly delivered a request to the Prophet, “Clean me!”

2) Anxious face;

3) His voice shows concern.

However, repeatedly the Prophet ﷺ told him to go home and repent to Allah ﷻ. Prophet ﷺ did not ask what happened except because Maiz had repeatedly asked for this. This is a guide to the Prophet ﷺ so that someone does not expose his disgrace and sufficient to repent to Allah ﷻ for the sin that God covered up. This is also an example to not be eager to dismantle the disgrace of the Muslims, even though there is a gap to do it.

This clearly excluded the attitude of some people who nosy With the affairs of human sin without any interest. He is not a judge or investigator who is obliged to conduct a review of the case, but is busy detailing human sin and disgrace. Maybe some of us have been a place to confide in other people who sometimes reveal their disgrace. So, in order to imitate the Prophet ﷺ, do not add to the outcrop so that all the ugliness is opened. If there is one door that opens, don’t open another door. Even the best is trying to cover it up.

Second: Covering the singer’s disgrace is the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ

Prophet ﷺ match this attitude directly with Hazzal Al-Aslami friends Radhiyallahu ‘anhu. In part of the history, Hazzal Radhiyallahu ‘anhu Described as the person who encouraged Maiz to admit his actions to the Prophet. Knowing this, the Prophet ﷺ gave beautiful beautiful advice Radhiyallahu ‘anhu,

And God! Oh, if you do it, if you will give it the right time

“By Allah, O Hazzal, if you cover it with your clothes, of course it’s better than what you do to him.” (HR. Abu Dawud no. 4377 and Ahmad no. 21945, assessed Sahih Sanad by shuab al-arnauth)

Hazzal was very good at telling Maiz to meet with the Prophet and acknowledge his sinful sin. Hazzal’s goal is to make Maiz out of his sin, as revealed by Nuym bin Hazzal when he tells this story,

You come to God’s messenger ﷺ and tell him what you made; Maybe he is looking for forgiveness for you, but he wants to do it so he will have a way out

“Go to God’s messenger and tell him what you have done; maybe he will ask for forgiveness for you. He (Hazzal) just wants to do it in the hope that there will be a way out for him.” (HR. Abu Dawud no. 4419)

However, the good goal turned out to be incompatible with the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ. On the contrary, encouraging a person to cover up his disgrace is something that is paid. The Prophet’s command ﷺ to Hazzal actually showed that covering the disgrace was a more important case,

And God’s messenger, hopefully God’s prayers and peace are on him, saying to him that this proverb shows that he will cover it to be preferred and first with him, and if Muslims are covered by Muslims, who are desired in it, then the person who has the same thing is the first person he falls in it, what is desired in it, then the person who has the same thing is the first person he fell in it desired in it, then the person who has the same thing he falls in it in it, then the person who has the same thing he falls in it, who falls in it, then the person who has the same thing he falls in it, then the person who has the first person falls in it, then the person who has the first person falls in it, then the person who has the first person falls in it, then the person who has the first person to fall in it, then the person inside, then the person who has the first person falls in it, then the person who has the first person falls in it

Prophet ﷺ said so to explain that covering up more disgrace Afdhal and more important. If it covers the disgrace of fellow Muslims it is recommended and motivated, then covering the personal disgrace is even more important and he should repent with him. (https://dorar.net/hadith/harh/150118)

Third: At-Tatsabbut And At-tabayyun to be able to free or alleviate from punishment Let me

In the story of Maiz, the Prophet ﷺ repeatedly turned away from Maiz four times. This shows the Prophet ﷺ did story. Prophet ﷺ also confirmed this statement with several questions such as:

1) Is Maiz aware?

2) Is Maiz his mind disturbed?

3) Is Maiz drinking Khamr?

This question was raised to people who knew Maiz at the time to confirm the state of Maiz. Prophet ﷺ also made another confirmation, namely the free Syubhat from Maiz. Lest just kiss, hold, or look. This is asked because there is a hadith of the Prophet ﷺ,

Because God wrote about Ibn Adam, his luck was from adultery, so there was no way; Eyes visible, hard tongue, soul, soul, soul expected and desire, and vulva is a deed for all of that and lie to him

“In fact, humans have determined the fate of adultery that is not impossible and will definitely be lived. Adultery of both eyes is to see, adultery of the tongue is speaking, and the soul wishes and is dreaming, while all of that will be followed up or rejected by the genitals.” (HR. Bukhari no. 6243 and Muslim no. 2657)

Prophet ﷺ and friends worried that Maiz misunderstood this hadith. Because the adultery intended in this hadith is not punished Let me, except for the applicable bucket into the well. However, all of these questions were answered with the fact that he really committed adultery and aware of doing it.

Not only that, after it was proven that Maiz committed adultery, the Prophet ﷺ looking for a gap so that Maiz could be mild punishment. Namely the Prophet ﷺ Asking if Maiz virgin or is already married. However, the answer is that Maiz is married. So, punishment Let me It could not be done or not.

Fourth: Law enforcement Let me is the last way

From the attitude shown by the Prophet ﷺ, then the law Let me is the last way for a Muslim. Someone should repent and save his disgrace for himself. Likewise with other people who know that there has been a sin, so it is called for to repent to the culprit and take care of his disgrace. However, that does not mean that as Muslims we neglect law enforcement Let me Because there is a big wisdom in its enforcement. May Allah ﷻ give glory to the Muslims with the upholding of our side.

Fifth: Hate his actions and don’t hate the people

For a few days after the law of stoning was upheld to Maiz, the friends discussed this. Some argue that Maiz died and was erased his sin for undergoing Let me With sincerity and there are those who argue that Maiz has repented with extraordinary repentance. Approximately three days people discussed it. For this crowd, the Prophet ﷺ came and asked for forgiveness to Maiz.

It repents if divided between a nation, and they will look for them.

“He repent with repentance which if divided between a people, then that is enough for them.” (HR. Muslim no. 1695)

Prof. Dr. Ragb As-Sirijaan explained,

With his extreme hatred of that action, and with its continuous service to people to do as the goats do, and with a warning to the repetition of this problem, with all this, the messenger of Allah ﷺ does not hesitate to announce before everyone that God Almighty has forgiven goats from his sin!

“He hates that action and always forbids people to do what Ma’iz is doing. However, he does not hesitate to announce to everyone that God Story has forgives Maiz’s sin. “((Ar-Rahmah Fi Hayatir Rasul, matter. 125)

It seems that in pursuing the sins of the people, the Prophet was not encouraged by his desire to judge. This is the beauty of the Prophet ﷺ who was born from his grace to others. And it is true that God has made the Prophet’s example. We must take the moral path possessed by the Prophet for all. Wallahu ta’ala a’lam.
