Knowing the name of Allah “al-Wahhab”

Knowing the names of God are one of the biggest forms of worship. By knowing his name and nature, a servant will love, fear, and hope for him only. God’s messenger sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam say,

God blessed you and raised ninety -nine names that calculated it.

“Indeed, Allah has 99 names; anyone who calculates it (memorizing, understanding, and practicing it), will surely go to heaven.” (HR. Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Based on the hadith, understanding the names of God is not only knowledge, but the path to deeper slavery and easier monotheism.

Among the names of the great names of God Al-Wahhāb – Essence of the Most Giving. This name shows that all gifts and favors come from Him, both those requested and not, both visible and hidden. In this article, we will review three main points: (1) The arguments of the Qur’an that mention the name Al-Wahhāb Explicitly, (2) explanation of the meaning of this name in terms of language and interpretation of salaf scholars, and (3) practical consequences for a servant who knows God with this name: how he strengthens his faith, increase gratitude and prayer, and improve Husnuzhan To His Rabb in every life condition.

The name of Allah “Al-Wahhab”

This name is mentioned three times in the Qur’an.

Once in surah Uplin ‘imrIn God’s Word Ta’ala,

Our Lord does not damage our hearts after our guidance and gives us from our mercy, because you are a wife

“Our God, don’t make our hearts rely on mistakes once you give us guidance, and give us mercy from your side. Most Giving Gifts. “ (Surah āli ‘Immān: 8)

And twice in Surah ShādIn his words,

Or whether they have a trap of your beloved God’s grace

“Do they have the Ministry of Finance from your mighty Lord again Most giver? “ (Surah Shād: 9)

As well as words,

God, forgive me and give me a king, don’t forget to one of me, you are the gap

“He said, ‘Rabbaku, forgive me and give me an unfit government for anyone after me. Most giving gifts. ‘” (Surah Shād: 35) [1]

Fill in the meaning of the name of Allah “Al-Wahhab”

To find out the contents of God’s name completely, we need to know the meaning of the word first “Al-Wahhab” language, then in its context as the name of God Story.

The meaning of language from “Al-Wahhab”

Al-Wahhāb (الوهّاب) is a form Mubālaghah (intensive form) of the verb WAHABA – JAHAB (وَهَبَ – يَهَبُ) which means giving a gift (grant). [2]

Al-Fuyumi Rahimahullah say,

(And b): I gave the money I gave him the gift I gave him, but compensated

“(WAHABA): I gave Zaid wealth as a grant – which I gave him without a gift. ” [3]

Meaning “Al-Wahhab” In the context of God

Ibn Jarir Ath-Thabari Rahimahullah Say about the word of God,

You are a ghost

“Truly you are al-wahhāb,” He said,

You are given your successful waiter and payment for your religious stability, and to trust your books and messengers.

“Indeed, the Essence that gives Taufik servants and guidance to stay strong in your religion, and to justify your books and your Apostles.” [4]

Al-Hafidz Ibn Kathir Rahimahullah Say about the 9th verse of Surah Shad,

{Or have a trap of your Lord’s grace, Mazz, الم الري الم الم الم الم الم الم الم الم الم الم

“Do they have a loving finance department, the mighty, provider? “, The meaning is: “(he) who is mighty, who can not reach him; and Al-Wahhāb, That’s the Essence that gives what he wants who he will be. ” [5]

Sangkka A-Nasafy Rahimahullah said about the verse,

What is important for the owner of the mercy until they happen from those who want and spend him from those who want and choose to properly some of their chanters and lift it from Muhammad, but those who have compassion and their beloved cabinet, which is interesting to create it.

“They do not have power over the vocabulary of mercy, so they can give it to who they want and hold it from who they want, and choose some respectable people from them for prophethood and feel more noble than Muhammad. In fact, those who have their grace and treasury are the Essence of the Mighty, who control all of His creatures. Al-Wahhāb, Which gave a lot, which placed His gifts in the right place, and divided them according to His wisdom. ” [6]

Sheikh Abdurrahman bin Nashir As-Si’dī Rahimahullah say,

{You are Wahhab}, meaning: Gifts and gifts are wide, many of the charities you have are all wild.

“Indeed, you are al-wahhāb” Meaning: “The broad gift and grant, many of His kindness, His goodness covers all beings.” [7]

Sheikh ‘Abdur-Razzāq al-Badr said,

Wahhab: This is a lot of gifts, grace, and gifts

“Al-Wahhāb is the Essence that gives a lot of grants, gifts, and gifts. ” [8]

The consequences of the name of Allah “Al-Wahhab” For servants

Name determination “Al-Wahhab” For Allah Story Has many consequences, both in terms of nature and dismissal of God, as well as from the servant side. Here are some consequences in terms of servant:

Must believe that Al-Wahhāb is the name of Allah

A servant must believe that Al-Wahhāb Only Allah. In his hand there is a treasury. He is the owner of heaven and earth and everything in it. Lord Ta’ala said,

God has the king of heaven and the earth creates whatever he wants aqeeqh, that is the estimated knowledge

“Belongs to Allah and the kingdom of heaven and the earth. He created what he asked. He bestowed his daughter to whom he would, and bestowed his son to whom he would do it. (Surah Asy-Syūrā: 49–50) [9]

Be thankful for good couples and good offspring

A servant should believe that among the greatest grants from God to His servants is a pious couple and good offspring, and grateful for it. This is the cause of happiness and eye conditioning for a servant. Allah Ta’ala said,

And we gave him his family and the same as them with mercy from us

“And we give him his family and the one like them, as mercy from us.” (Surah Shād: 43)

And the Word,

And those who say, our Lord

“And those who say, ‘Our Rabbi, give us a partner and descendants who become our eyes, and make us leaders for those who are afraid.'” (Surah Al-Furqān: 74)

Whoever is blessed with a child by God and is awarded goodness in the child, then he should praise Al-Wahhāb For overflowing his help. As the prayer of the Prophet Ibrāhīm ‘Alaihis-Salas When said,

Praise to God, who gave me the oldest, Istanil and Isaac, because my lord was hearing

“Praise to be God who has given me to my parents: Ismā’īl and Ishāq. (Surah Ibrāhīm: 39) [10]

Many pray and be kind to God

Many pray and ask Al-WahhābAnd be kind to him in expecting all the goodness of the world and the hereafter.

Allah Ta’ala said,

Our Lord does not damage our hearts after our guidance and gives us from our mercy, because you are a wife

“O our Rabb, don’t tilt our hearts for mistakes after you give us guidance, and give us mercy from your side. (Surah āli ‘Immān: 8) [11]

May Allah, al-wahhāb, Give us his vast grace, guide our hearts to remain for guidance, and make us grateful to the servants of the gifts. Amen.
