Assalamu alaikum. Afwan Ustadz, JK QT has an external job for that day. Can QT improve and mock prayers even though QT has arrived and live in the area? And JK BS, can Ustadz day? Afwan wa Jazakallahu khoir (+62 813-3434-xxxx)

It depends on the type of safar … there are several safar models:

1. Clear safar when it comes home.

Thus, Imam Abu Hanifah said 14 days. Imam Malik and Imam Ash Syafi’i said 4 days. While Imam Ahmad bin Hambal said 3 days.

2. Safar that is not clear when it comes home. Like mujahideen, nomads ..

So, all the time he can have Qashar because he is still counted.

Rasulullah (may peace on it) has 20 days in Tabuk. Some friends of the prophets such as Umar, Anas, Ibn Umar, they are 6 months, 1 year, even 2 years.

3. The safar is for the transfer of domicile. For example want to move house from Jakarta to Bandung. So, he may Qashar only on the trip. Because, when he arrived in Bandung he had become a mukimin (permanent resident).

There are also plural, whenever it can be done – in addition to the condition of the existence of the presence of intentions and masyaqqah (difficulties) such as heavy rain, seriously ill, busy/work that is very difficult to leave or danger if left behind, and various other difficulties.
