If the sacrificial animals are slaughtered before shahibul qurban praying id

There is a problem that is often asked about the time of slaughtering sacrificial animals. There is one of the Shahibul Qurban who are living in Europe, and want to sacrifice in Indonesia. The time difference between the two is 5 hours, if in Europe at 6 am, then in Indonesia it is 11 noon. If the sacrificial animals are slaughtered in Indonesia at 8 am after Iduladha prayers, it is still at 3 am in Europe, so Shahibul Qurban not yet carried out Iduladha prayers. Does the sacrifice remain valid?

There are questions addressed to Sheikh Salih Al-Munajjid,

“Every person who represents his friend to poke sacrificial animals in his name – for example a goat – then he (represented or Shahibul Qurbancalled “Al-Muwakkil”, PENT.) Traveling to a country where Iduladha is different from the country of people who represent. Whether the person (called “Agent” can slaughter the sacrifice of someone who represents (Al-Muwakkil) On the day of Iduladha (in its original area), if Iduladha in a country that represents one day slower? “

The answer,

Permitted for a Muslim to entrust other Muslims to act in his name in the massacre of sacrifice. It has been proven that the sacrifice has a limited time to slaughter it does not come out of it. And if the time is different between agents and clients, then the lesson in it is the agent of the agent

“It is permissible for a Muslim to represent others from Muslims to replace themselves in slaughtering sacrificial animals. It has been proven that the sacrifice has a certain time to be slaughtered and may not get out of that time. If there is a time difference between the country representative and the state represents (Al-Muwakkil)then the print is the time in this country representative. “

The fatwa can be listened to in this link.

There are also questions addressed to Sheikh Dr. Nuh Ali Salman Rahimahullah -MuFti Jordan-,

“What is the law of slaughtering sacrificial animals outside of the country where people live?”

The answer Rahimahullah,

“Praise to be God, and greet and greet our visit, the Prophet Muhammad Shoullahu ‘alaihi wasallam.

To answer this question, it is necessary to explain the following:

First: The sacrifice of the law is sunna for people who are able, namely people who have the advantage of wealth to buy sacrificial animals after meeting the needs of themselves and their families on Iduladha and three days of Tasyrik, in accordance with social conditions, health, and other things that are taken into account among Muslims. In such circumstances, if one of the family members sacrifice, then it is considered to represent the entire family. However, the reward was only obtained by people who sacrificed, if he slaughtered a goat. Based on this, people who are not burdened for sacrifice.

Second: A Muslim may represent others to slaughter his sacrificial animals in other countries, in addition to the place where he lives. However, slaughter must be carried out in a set time Syar’i, namely after the Id prayer until the end of the days of Tasyrik (11, 12, and 13 Zulhijah). The time benchmark used is the time at the slaughtering site, not in the residence of people who represent.

Third: Must give some sacrificial meat to the poor. It is served for people who sacrifice to eat some of them, and may also give gifts to anyone from among the Muslims. The greater the part given to the poor, the greater the reward. Generally, the Muslims divide the sacrifice into three parts: one third to be unlanked, one third to be awarded, and one third to be eaten alone. There is no difference in this division, either done in the country where people live in sacrifice or in other countries.

Fourth: You can’t sell any parts of sacrificial animals. Everything must be distributed as explained, and even the slaughterhouse should not be given wages from the sacrifice, but from other assets.

Conclusion, it is permissible to slaughter sacrificial animals for someone abroad where they live, as long as they meet the syar’i requirements that have been mentioned. “

His fatwa can be listened to in this link.

From the explanation above, it can be concluded that the benchmark time is where the sacrificial animal is slaughtered, not a residence area Shahibul Qurban. So that if the sacrificial animals have been slaughtered in other areas after the Iduladha prayer in the area is carried out, then it is valid as a sacrificial animal. Although Shahibul Qurban Not yet performed the Iduladha prayer because he lived in a country with a slower time zone than where his sacrificial animals were slaughtered. Wallahu ta’ala a’lam.
